On our way from Toronto<\/a> to Montreal we really wanted to make a short stop at the 1000 Islands<\/strong>. The Thousand Islands are a group of islands in the Saint Lawrence River between the United States and Canada and consist of a total of 1,864 islands of different sizes<\/strong>. Just 21 of them form Canada’s smallest national park with a total area of 24.4 square kilometers – the Thousand Islands National Park. The most famous sights include various castles, wrecks, millionaire’s mansions, the visitor center in Mallorytown and Hub Island, the (allegedly) smallest inhabited island in the world. <\/p>\n
