The Walk of Fame &amp; the Chinese Theatre<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Back in town, our next port of call was <strong>Hollywood.<\/strong> The district became known worldwide as the center of the American film industry. The most famous attraction here is the <strong>Walk of Fame<\/strong>, which features over 2,500 records of stars for famous personalities. The Walk of Fame honors living and deceased celebrities who have played or are still playing an important role in the American entertainment industry. <strong>TCL Chinese Theatre<\/strong>, a Chinese pagoda-style cinema, is also located on Hollywood Boulevard. It became world famous for the <strong>hand and shoe prints of numerous film stars,<\/strong>who have immortalized themselves in cement slabs in front of the entrance of the cinema. We had done some research on the Internet beforehand, from where you can have <strong>a good view of the Hollywood Sign.<\/strong> A good spot is a vantage point at the end of <strong>Beachwood Drive<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/5xM9q6iVRPYi8vS47\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" class=\"extern matomo_link wpel-icon-right\">(Google Maps).<span class=\"wpel-icon wpel-image wpel-icon-3\"><\/span><\/a> The road leads almost directly to the sign. Shortly before the end of the road it becomes a little more curvy until you come to a horse ranch. Here is a small parking lot, from which you have to walk up a small hill until you finally see the sign.<\/p>\n<p>The sign was erected in the 1920s to promote the sale of land. We started with a short stopover in the megacity Chicago. From there we continued by plane to Los Angeles and from there by rental car via Las Vegas, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Salt Lake City and Yellowstone National Park to Denver. For the last leg of our trip we went to the East Coast, where we visited New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
