Our start is San Francisco, where we have planned 3 full days to explore the city with all its sights. From San Francisco we will continue with a rental car to Sacramento, the capital of California. From here it is about 190 kilometers to the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Along the U.S. Highway 395 we drive over the 3,000 meter high Tioga Pass to the Yosemite National Park, before we drive again towards the Pacific coast to Monterey Bay. Here a whale watching tour, the 7 Miles Drive and a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium are on our list. The last part of the trip will take us along the Pacific Coast Highway (California State Route 1) with a stop at Hearst Castle until we reach Los Angeles.
