Egypt is a state with over 87 million inhabitants and is located in northeast Africa. The capital is Cairo, which with over 20 million inhabitants is the largest metropolis in Africa and one of the most populous urban regions on earth. The country is of great importance as the history of the civilization of mankind (Pharaonic period), as evidenced by many excavations and ancient architectural monuments. Today tourism with the strongholds Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh is one of the most important economic sources of income in the country.

1 week at the Jaz Maraya Family Resort in Marsa Alam (Egypt)

To escape the bad weather in Germany, we decided to take a vacation in Egypt. The choice fell relatively quickly on Marsa Alam in Egypt, as we had already been there many years ago (travel reports from 2016) and liked it very much.
