Peru has just over 30 million inhabitants and is the third largest country in South America after Brazil and Argentina. Peru is characterized above all by its great variety of landscapes: you can find the snow-covered Andes, over 6,000 meters high, beaches on the Pacific coast or parts of the large Amazon region. The highest mountain is the Huascarán with 6,768 meters and the most famous cities of the country are Arequipa, Cusco, Iquitos, Nazca, Puno, Trujillo and the capital Lima.
