We had read in advance of our research on our PADI Open Water diving course in the Philippines that there is the possibility to swim with whale sharks not far from our hotel Atmosphere Resort & Spa in Oslob on the island of Cebu. And we definitely didn’t want to miss this experience 🙂

The 7,641 islands of the Philippines have more than 100 million inhabitants and are located in the western Pacific Ocean. We first came into contact with the topic of “diving” in 2013 at the Sipadan Kapalai Dive Resort on Borneo. In the resort we did a Discover Scuba Dive for the first time in addition to the daily schoring… and equally seen turtles and an octopus up close. This fascinated us so much that we were determined: we want to make a PADI diving license! 🙂
