North and Central America extend over all four climate zones of the earth: in the north the continent reaches up to the Poloarkreis and in the south up to the tropics.

Everglades Alligator Farm – An Airboat Tour in South Florida (USA)

If you are in South Florida, an airboat tour through the Everglades National Park is not to be missed. We both knew the airboat tours along the Tamiami Trail between Miami and Naples. And together we did such a tour a few years ago in Orlando. Since this is always very funny and there is a lot of nature to see, we really wanted to repeat it again 🙂

Miami – Miami Beach, Ocean Drive & the Art Deco District (USA)

One of the most important points of contact in the Miami metropolitan area is certainly Miami Beach and Ocean Drive in the Art Deco district. The many colourful houses, the palm trees, the wide beach with its colourful Lifeguard cottages, the many restaurants, bars and nightclubs and many hotels in all price ranges – there is always something to discover here 🙂

Miami – Villa Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Coconut Grove (USA)

Today, a visit to Villa Vizcaya, located on Biscayne Bay, was on our agenda. The villa used to be the residence of an industrialist, today it is a museum with a beautiful adjoining garden. In 1970, Villa Vizcaya was listed as a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been a National Historic Landmark since 1994.

Miami – Street Art & colorful Murals in the Wynwood Art District (USA)

After our week-long stay in the Bahamas we added a few more days of vacation in Florida, as these are two destinations that can be combined very well. From the absolute tranquility of Long Island in the Bahamas, we took a plane via Nassau to the vibrant Miami metropolitan area with its more than 5 million inhabitants and the Wynwood Art District.
