For our stay at the Angel Island Eco Resort on the island Flores we had already decided in advance for a diving package, which means that we will have four diving days with 2 dives each. The advantage of the package is the slightly cheaper price, an included night dive and unlimited diving on the house reef without A Divemaster.

From the port in Labuan Bajo we were taken by transfer boat to our hotel. Already from the boat we could see the great location of the small private island Angel Island and were very happy to the small Angel Island Eco Resort booked there.

Today, unfortunately, Perth didn’t show its best side – when we got up, the streets were wet and it was a bit sultry. So we quickly packed up our belongings, checked out at the hotel, quickly got into our car and drove north to Lancelin 🙂

After a good 10 hours of flying from Dubai with an Airbus A380 from Emirates, we arrived in Perth in Western Australia in the early evening. Greater Perth is home to about 2 million people and the nearest major city, Adelaide, is more than 2000 kilometres away.

At last it’s time for us to go on holiday again today! On our way to Australia and Indonesia we made a short stopover in Dubai. The city is not entirely new to us. 4 years ago we spent a few days here when we were on our way to the Maldives. But since something is changing quickly in Dubai and is being built everywhere, we have enjoyed a 20-hour stopover before we head on to Perth in Australia.
