Our world is so incredibly beautiful and versatile and we want to explore & experience as much of it together as possible. We are Sandra and Michael from Darmstadt – commuters between full-time jobs and 30 days of vacation per year. There is a lot of wanderlust in between. And that’s why we keep pulling out into the wide or near world. Since 2012, we have been on our smaller and larger holidays by 78 Countries On travelled to all 5 continents and blog with a lot of passion about our countless adventures and experiences in our travel blog – be it from dreamlike islands, in cities of millions, on mountain peaks, in the pure wilderness or even in the depths of the oceans. 1 Day in New York – The Vessel & the High Line Park (USA)

After 7 hours of flying time, we arrived at Newark Liberty International Airport in the early morning from Alaska at around 8 a.m. Luckily, we didn’t have to go through immigration to get out of the airport because we came from Anchorage and it was a domestic flight. Anchorage – Seward Highway & Alaska Wildlife Center (USA)

After checking out in the early morning on our cruise ship – the Royal Princess – we took the transfer bus from Princess Cruises from Whittier to Anchorage. The transfer took about 90 minutes, so we were at Anchorage airport around 10 a.m. Here we got off and were able to store our luggage for free at the airport in a room that was open especially for cruise guests. Glacier Bay National Park – A Scenic Cruise in Alaska (USA)

After the last days on our journey through the Inside Passage the cities of Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Haines, the last 2 days of our Alaska cruise with Princess Cruises were a “Scenic Cruise”. This means that the ship no longer docks in a harbour, but that you can admire the highlights of Glacier Bay National Park and college fjord directly from the ship.

Skagway – A walk through the old gold mining town (USA)

The old gold mining town of Skagway was the 3rd stop of our Alaska cruise with Princess Cruises. Since we had already laid out at 6.30 in the morning and our departure was not planned until 8.30 p.m., we had all day to explore the town and the surrounding area. Perfect for us, because we were able to take a bear-watching boat trip to Haines, explore the Old Town of Skagway and take part in a dog sled adventure 🙂
