Our current destination was the port city of Warrnamboo, which is about 650 km from Adelaide and is considered a starting point for travel along the Great Ocean Road. On our trip we passed the city of Hahndorf and saw some Kangaroos at Cape Bridgewater.

South Australia is an Australian state with approximately 1.7 million inhabitants. Slightly more than three quarters of the inhabitants live in the region of the federal capital Adelaide and in the fertile southeast. The main economic sectors are agriculture, manufacturing and mining. Furthermore, more than half of the wine produced in Australia comes from the Adelaide area. The coastline totals 4,800 kilometres and Kangaroo Island, which belongs to South Australia, is the third largest island in Australia. Other well-known sights include Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre National Park and the Nullarbor Plain.

Today it was time to sleep again for a long time. Around noon we drove to downtown Adelaide to stroll around the city.

After our 3 great days at Ayers Rock in the middle of the continent, our journey went further south today. At 10.20am our plane with Qantas went via Alice Springs to Adelaide in the state of South Australia.
