Wow, today is already of the 100th Day of our world tour! We were able to see sooooo an incredible amount and experience it together and yet we are still looking forward to the many beautiful places that will come. After our trip along the Great Ocean Road we have now arrived in Melbourne.

The state of Victoria is located in the southeast of Australia and has about 6.3 million inhabitants. The capital and at the same time the second largest city of the country – is Melbourne. Other major cities are Mildura, Geelong, Warrnambool, Ballarat and Bendigo. Popular and worth seeing attractions are the Grampians National Park, the 250 kilometre long coastal road Great Ocean Road, the Macedon Ranges, the numerous wineries of the Yarra Valley and the pygmy penguins on Phillip Island. Scenic features include stunning mountain landscapes, the more than 2,000 kilometres of coastline with its numerous sandy beaches and historic gold-digger settlements in the interior.

Today was all about the Great Ocean Road – one of the most famous and beautiful roads in Australia. But even before our alarm clock rang today, we heard the rain splashing outside. Unfortunately not good conditions to drive along the coastal road.

Our current destination was the port city of Warrnamboo, which is about 650 km from Adelaide and is considered a starting point for travel along the Great Ocean Road. On our trip we passed the city of Hahndorf and saw some Kangaroos at Cape Bridgewater.
