After first admiring the Victoria Falls from the Zambia side in the morning, we want to see the waterfalls from the Zimbabwe side.

A multi-visa for Zimbabwe
The Zimbabwe & Zambia side of the Victoria Falls
The Victoria Falls can be seen from the Zimbabwe side as well as from the Zambia side. For clarity, we have drawn on a map the location of the different national parks on the Zimbabwe side (red) and Zambia side (green).
The Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe side
Access to the viewpoints of Zimbabwe’s waterfalls currently costs USD 30.
In the park there are quite good footpaths, which can however be slippery due to the spray of the falls. In any case, a rain cape and also an umbrella is recommended. With high water level and strong winds you will still get quite wet. Above all, it is important to take care of the camera or the mobile phone! We bought a rain protection for our camera before the trip.
The sightseeing trails start in the west at Devil’s Cataract, near it is a monument of the naturalist Livingstone. Then they lead along the top of the gorge to a good dozen well-described viewpoints, the last vantage point is opposite the railway bridge. On the way, some stairs lead several meters down into the gorge.
We liked the prospect of the Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwe side a little better. Here we have at least also had some viewpoints, where no spray has come and one had a clear view of the waterfalls. But this will probably always be different depending on the weather and wind.
