PEPPA PIG Park – The Peppa Wutz theme park (Germany)

Categories: Travel reports, Europe, Germany

A little pink pig has been the center of attention in our home for about two years. Well, who could that be? We are of course talking about Peppa Pig or Peppa Wutz. Our three-year-old daughter already knows the stories about Peppa, her family and her friends Luzie, Emily, Freddy, Molly, Pedro and Zoe by heart – ok, we almost do too 😉 So what could be more natural than to visit Peppa at home? In Europe’s first independent PEPPA PIG Park in Günzburg, Bavaria, which has been located right next to LEGOLAND Deutschland since May 2024.

Things to know about PEPPA PIG Park Germany

PEPPA PIG Park Germany is located in Günzburg in the beautiful Bavarian Swabia region directly opposite the LEGOLAND Theme Park (location in Google Maps). Since May 19, 2024, you can immerse yourself in the colorful world of Peppa Wutz and her friends and have lots of fun. After the PEPPA PIG theme park in Florida, which we visited last year, it is the second independent park in the world where everything revolves around the pink pig family. In fact, it is the first of its kind in Europe.

Opening hours, parking and prices

The PEPPA PIG Park is usually open from May to November from 9 am to 5 pm (with the exception of a few closing days). For your own planning, it is important to know that the ride shops close half an hour before the park closes. Day tickets for the 2024 season are available online on the official website from just EUR 19. We think that’s a very fair price for a whole day at the theme park. Children under the age of two are admitted free of charge. A parking ticket costs EUR 10 – this is checked at the exit and can be conveniently purchased online in advance together with the day ticket.

Saving tip: All children between the ages of 2 and 11 receive free admission to PEPPA PIG Park on the day of their birthday.

As you walk from the parking lot to the park entrance, the familiar Peppa melody is already playing from the loudspeakers and you can already see the first figures on the walls. Our older daughter was absolutely thrilled and could hardly wait to get to the park.

A map of the PEPPA PIG Park

This map gives you a nice overview of the PEPPA PIG Park. At first glance, it doesn’t seem that big, so we initially thought that we would definitely be through it in two to three hours. But that is deceptive! Because once you’re there and take in all the attractions and rides, you end up spending a whole day in the park. Here you can download the park map of the amusement park as a free .pdf version.

Themed areas in the PEPPA PIG Park

The PEPPA PIG Park has five rides suitable for small children, countless themed playgrounds, a cinema, family-friendly catering options and a stage with great shows as well as meet & greets with the Wutz family.

Entrance, Mama Wutz’ picnic area & Show stage

After entering the PEPPA PIG Park, we were able to take a look at the show stage from the entrance and saw that Peppa Wutz was holding a meet & greet there. So let’s get there! The rush to say hello to the pink pig was huge and the queue was long. Fortunately, the stage and seating area is generously covered with a fixed awning, so the wait in the blazing sun wasn’t quite so bad. It also went quickly, because you usually don’t have more than 1 minute for the Meet & Greet appointment. And then it was our turn: our older daughter jumped back and forth excitedly and our younger daughter kept pointing at Peppa with her finger – so the attraction was very strong 🙂 We thought it was great that a member of the park staff helped us take photos, so we were able to take a family picture with Peppa. At other theme parks, we have often experienced that the park photographers are there at meet & greets and they are not allowed to take photos with the visitors’ private cell phones.

In addition to the Meet & Greet, ‘Showtime with Mister Potato’ takes place on stage (several times) every day with lots of games, fun and singing. The Mama Wutz picnic area is ideal for a lunch break. Incidentally, you are allowed to take your own food and drinks into the park – we think that’s really great!

Grandma Wutz’s garden, Luisa Löffel’s playground & Schorsch’s Castle

To the right of the entrance is a large play area, which our children wanted to explore after the meet & greet. Here you can visit Grandma Wutz in her garden, play on Luisa Löffel’s playground and search for the entrance to Schorsch’s castle. The familiar characters are everywhere, there are interactive elements and Peppa music is always playing in the background.

Funfair, Peppa’s balloon ride & Mr. Bulles Hau-den-Lukas

There is so much to discover in the funfair themed area: In Mrs. Löffel’s mirror tent you can look at yourself in funny mirror images. You can also try your luck at can bowling, duck fishing and ring throwing. Afterwards, we went up high with Peppa’s balloon ride. From the top, we enjoyed a wonderful view of the PEPPA PIG Park. Incidentally, there are no restrictions regarding minimum height/age when accompanied by an adult.

Our older daughter didn’t want to go on the Mr. Bulles Hau-den-Lukas ride, so we just watched the other families. From observation, we would say that this was the least popular attraction of all the rides, as there was never a long queue. The attraction resembles a small freefall tower. As soon as the hammer hits the bell of Mr. Bulles Hau-den-Lukas, it goes up in the air – and at some point suddenly down again 😉 The minimum height/age when accompanied by an adult is 100 cm and 3 years.

Papa Wutz’ Roller Coaster

The Papa Wutz’ Roller Coaster is definitely one of the highlights in the park. The path to the rollercoaster first leads through the Wutz family home, where there is plenty to discover. And then it’s time to buckle up: Because Papa Wutz drives around in his red speedster – and is happy to give park visitors a lift. We and our older daughter really enjoyed the roller coaster ride. It’s great that children as young as 95 cm and 3 years old can ride here accompanied by an adult and have their first exciting roller coaster experience.

Grandpa Kläff’s pirate ship ride & Grandpa Kläff’s Sand Playground

We queued for quite a while for Grandpa Kläff’s pirate ship ride, as it is one of the most attractive rides in the park. It was great that even the very little ones are allowed to ride here, as there are no age or size restrictions when accompanied by an adult. Our two daughters really enjoyed the boat trip!

Right next to it is Grandpa Kläff’s sand playground, which is perfectly protected from the hot sun by a few awnings. Here, children (with their parents) can build sandcastles or dig for hidden treasures.

Grandpa Munchkin’s Dino Adventure

The name of Grandpa Munchkin’s Dino Adventure is perhaps a little confusing. The attraction should actually have been called ‘Schorsch’s Dino Adventure’, as Peppa’s little brother is the biggest ‘Sausia’ fan of all time 😉 We also waited a long time in the queue for this ride until we could ride Schorsch’s green toy dinosaur through the park. Children aged 5 years and over and over 120 cm tall may sit on a dinosaur on their own; children under this age may only sit on a dinosaur together with an adult. The trip took us past smoking volcanoes, palm trees and various dinosaurs and was quite entertaining.

LEGO DUPLO PEPPA PIG Play Zone

In the world’s first LEGO DUPLO PEPPA PIG Play Zone, there is a large creative area with two construction tables featuring various Peppa Pig scenes, all built from LEGO DUPLO bricks. For example, there is a birthday party in Peppa’s house, a shopping scene with Mama Wutz and a tree house for Peppa. All around are countless LEGO DUPLO bricks, which visitors can use to continue building Peppa’s colorful world. There are large awnings and parasols over the construction tables so that children can play here without worrying even in hot weather. We thought that was great!

Peppas and Schorschs Cycle Fun & Camper

At Peppas und Schorschs Cycle Fun children can grab a tricycle and ride it around a small, demarcated course.

Mrs. Mümmel’s Diner, Cinema & Mr. Fuchs’ Shop

Since we were in the park all day and ran out of the snacks we had brought with us, we went to Mrs. Mümmel’s Diner to get something to eat. Here you can enjoy sandwiches, salads, spaetzle, pizza, fruit and much more in a cozy atmosphere. There is also a large seating area in front of the restaurant. Immediately afterwards, we went to the cinema, which is located directly between Mrs. Mümmel’s diner and Mr. Fuchs’ store. Peppa’s best episodes are shown here on a big screen. Comfortable beanbags and a few benches invite you to linger.

At the end of our visit to the park, we couldn’t miss a visit to Mr. Fuchs’ store. There are lots of Peppa-related items here, including clothes, cuddly toys, books, games and lots of other – sometimes even exclusive – memorabilia. Of course, our two daughters were also allowed to choose something to take home with them 😊

Mud puddles water playground

The beautifully designed muddy puddle water playground is THE place in PEPPA PIG Park when you need a refreshing dip in summer temperatures. Here, children can splash around to their heart’s content, jump through water fountains, slide and splash each other. There are changing rooms, showers, loungers and benches at the sides.

Is a visit to PEPPA PIG Park Germany worthwhile?

A visit to PEPPA PIG Park Germany is definitely worthwhile! 🙂 If you have little Peppa Wutz fans at home, then head for the PEPPA PIG Park. A visit to the park is a unique experience for young (and old) and will not soon be forgotten. The whole park is lovingly designed with the well-known characters and scenes from the books, so that children feel right at home and can explore everything. The important thing is that the park’s target group is small children… LEGOLAND Deutschland, which is right next door, is better suited for older children.

It would be nice if the park could perhaps be expanded a little in the next few years. So we really would have been looking forward to one or two more rides. For us, a theme park for small children should always include a small train, for example – it’s also thematically very fitting, because Grandpa Wutz would certainly have liked to ride it too 😉
