Amazon River – Anavilhanas Village Guesthouse (Brazil)

Categories: Travel reports, South America, Brazil

To experience the Amazon up close, a local accommodation is best located right on the Rio Negro. On our tour we spent 3 days in the small Anavilhanas Village Guesthouse, which is lovingly run by Roy and his family.

The trip to our lodge in the Amazon

From Manaus we drove for an hour deeper and deeper into the Amazon to the place “Praia do A’utuba”. From here we took a boat to the other side of the River Negro.

Anavilhanas Village Guesthouse in the Amazon

Here is the Lodge Anavilhanas Village , which is lovingly run by Roy and his family. Guesthouse is a simple accommodation in the middle of the Amazon, which can accommodate up to 30 people. Our group for the next few days consisted of five people: with us were Chris and Carolina from Switzerland and then Markus, a Brazilian from Rio.

The village “Comunidade Ribeirinha Bela Vista do Jaraqui”

The lodge is located just outside the Comunidade Ribeirinha Bela Vista do Jaraqui, a small riverside village.

All travelogues from Brazil

On our round trip through South America we couldn't miss the country Brazil, which with its huge area takes almost 50% of South America. We had chosen the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, a stay in the Amazon and of course the Iguazu waterfalls as our destinations. A really varied journey through Brazil, during which we could collect many beautiful impressions. Travel Reports Brazil » Rio de Janeiro: Copacabana, Ipanema & Cristo Redentor (Brazil)
