We took three days to explore Paris. Surely you can spend a good week or two here to see everything, but for a first impression an extended weekend was enough for us 🙂

Explore Paris on your own
From Frankfurt you can get to Paris quickly by train or flight. We had decided on a cheap Lufthansa flight and were at the Charles de Gaulle flight in less than an hour. Since the airport is located about 23 kilometers outside Paris, it takes a bit to arrive in the center. In addition to taxi and bus, you can also take the RER B train, which is probably the fastest way to get to the city centre with 35 minutes. Until recently, this was also the cheapest connection, at 10 euros. Since May 2015, the situation has been somewhat different: there is another connection to the city centre, the Easybus, which competes with all other means of transport with prices starting at 1.95 euros. Please visit also the officel Paris Tourism Website.
For the three nights in Paris we chose the Hotel Grand Hotel Francais, because we got a good deal here at Expedia.
Beforehand, we had already bought 2-day hop-on-hop-off tickets at L’Open Tour. There are various routes that can be taken by green double-decker buses. The detailed travel report on the city tour of Paris will be delivered. But we have already uploaded the pictures. If there are any specific questions about the pictures or destination, please post a comment at the end of the post.
Tickets for a visit to Disneyland were available for free on top of it, so we also made a short trip to the amusement park.
Starbucks Global Icon City Mug of Paris
We are collecting the Starbucks Mugs from the cities and islands we visit on our travels. Unfortunately, not every city that has a Starbucks store with an own mug. But if the city has an own mug we like to collect them as a souvenir. We only collect city mugs from the "Global Icon Series", which was released in 2008. You can see our complete collection here: Starbucks - Our collection of Mugs from the Global Icon SeriesParis, of course, has several Starbucks stores and also its own cup 🙂
